Our history

Core’s roots go back to the 1980s, as the Sunshine Coast regional branch of a multi-national consulting firm.

Officially founded as an independent and employee-owned consultancy in 2015, Core continues a long local legacy of geotechnical and environmental work across South-East Queensland and beyond.

In 2022, we invested in growth with a purpose-built Sunshine Coast facility in Coolum Beach and a larger Brisbane base in Hemmant to support an expanding team and workload. In 2025, we expanded our Gold Coast operations to a new office in Coomera.

We are employee-owned, independent and collaborative. We listen first, then recommend the right path based on evidence, standards, and site realities.
