Barbados

This Noosa waterfront apartment called for a restrained material palette with exceptional detail. Hand-finished mosaic bathrooms and natural travertine carry through the interior and outdoor spaces, connecting the home to the water beyond.

The bathrooms are wrapped in Nagoya Japanese mosaics, creating a sculptural, handcrafted finish. In the ensuite, green mosaic tiles follow a curved partition wall. The floors use 50 x 200 x 20 mm travertine in a stack-bond pattern, with colour-matched powder-coated aluminium angles creating crisp, refined edges.

Travertine continues through the living spaces in an 800 x 400 mm offset pattern, forming a feature wall before extending onto the patio. A custom travertine BBQ cupboard anchors the alfresco area, while a handcrafted 100 x 100 mm zellige splashback brings texture to the kitchen. Together, the finishes create one continuous material story from the apartment to the water.
