THE PROJECT
This Noosa waterfront apartment called for something bespoke: artisan, hand-finished bathrooms and a single natural stone carried seamlessly through the home, from the interior out to the water’s edge.
The bathrooms are wrapped in Nagoya Japanese-crafted mosaic for a sculptural finish, while the ensuite features a curved partition wall in green mosaic. Floors are laid in 50 x 200 x 20mm travertine in a stack bond, with every edge finished in a colour-matched powder-coated aluminium angle for a crisp, refined line.
That same travertine carries throughout, with 800 x 400 stone in an offset pattern running the living space as a feature datum wall and continuing to the patio. A travertine BBQ cupboard anchors the alfresco, a handcrafted 100 x 100 zellige splashback adds character to the kitchen, and the stone meets the blue of the water in a single, uninterrupted finish.
